A dream subject for a family day! Picasso and his sculptures of figures. The Horta hall was transformed into a long production line of varying heights all in exploration of creating sculptures inspired by Picasso's figures, using a variety of materials. Paper—Clay—Wire—Wood—Found Objects.
I designed the space in two long rows. The low tables had paper to begin making a figure, then the next tables where filled with wire and clay and the high tables with found objects and wood with glue guns to add the things.
Each visitor was given a wooden platform to create on, these creations could be taken or left in our ever growing community exhibit of figures inspired by Picasso's work. It was a huge success with a record number of vistors 3146 in total for the day! Can't believe we managed to have enough materials and platforms, but we did and it was wonderful! Such a great day and an even greater collaboration with BOZAR Education!
